- IINNTTRROODDUUCCTTIIOONN
- This program allows modification of the user log. The
- caller must have write-access to the log database files.
- MMoodduulloogg is typically used at boot time to invalidate old
- login entries. It can also be used to invalidate particular
- entries for the host on which it is invoked, or create new
- ones.
-
- If the --CC switch is given, then mmoodduulloogg will invalidate
- login entries. Otherwise, if the --ii and --pp switches are
- given, mmoodduulloogg will invalidate only the entry corresponding
- to the port specified by the --pp switch. Finally, if the
- --pp, and --ll switches are used together, a new login entry
- will be recorded, as if _u_s_e_r logged in from _l_o_c_a_t_i_o_n on
- /hosts/`hostname`/dev/rlogin_p_o_r_t at the time mmoodduulloogg is run.
- To generate a login record for the console, specify a _p_o_r_t
- of 0 and a location of ``''. _U_s_e_r defaults to the user
- invoking the mmoodduulloogg program.
-
- /sprite/admin/data/userLog
- The database of current logins on each host.
-
- /sprite/admin/data/lastLog
- The database of each user's most recent login.
